Energetic clinical massage techniques to reduce stress and relieve muscle pain

Needle-less Acupuncture

Unlike traditional acupuncture, which uses needles to affect the points of the body, needle-less acupuncture uses methods that are noninvasive (finger pressure, a pointed dowel, electric pointer instrument, to mention a few). Needle-less acupuncture has its own advantages and disadvantages, but it can be effective in treating many diseases, especially pain. Acupressure is a less radical treatment and it allows the body to restore its correct circulation.

Many people do not know that there is a difference between acupuncture and acupressure. Both these methods are old methods of treatment coming from China and reflecting the oriental view on healing. This means that when a practitioner treats a client their focus is not just the symptoms but they also will address the possible cause which may involve the physical, emotional, and even spiritual aspects of our being. Chinese Medicine sees these three aspects as a whole that cannot be treated separately.

The advantages of needle-less acupuncture are that there are no adverse side effects as the treatment is noninvasive. Like traditional acupuncture it is often relaxing and overall beneficial to regaining a balanced well-being. A disadvantage is that traditional needle acupuncture may have a stronger effect (it is said that electro-acupuncture can have the same needle like effect) than acupressure.
